About me

Hey there, I’m Karya (pronounced car-ee-ah). My passion for photography started in my pre-teens, and led me to studying studio art in high school and undergrad. I founded my photography business in 2017 while pursuing an M.F.A. in Arts Leadership from Seattle University. The business and management skills I learned through the program + working in the non-profit arts field for several years aided me in building my own business and taking it full-time in 2020.

Today I am a New York City-based fashion & street style photographer capturing the style and stories of real people. You might have seen some of my viral “what people wear in NYC” reels on Instagram or fashion week recaps on Pinterest.
